Well, after about 10 days in the hospital my mom was released to come home. I think she should’ve stayed longer so she could gain back more strength, but she really, really wanted to get out of there! She’s in much better shape than when she went in and I do thank everyone who took the time to pray for her.

During the time she was in there, I had some special opportunities to stay with her late into the night and just keeping my hand on her gently — speak words of healing and restoration. My prayer was for her to be delivered into His goodness and to draw her into the land of the living.

She had many tests, but none that revealed any cancer anywhere!!

They gave her some antibiotics for some unspecified infection, and say they will need to place a shunt into her kidney to help drain the excess toxins (probably from the chemo weakening her system).

So, now my prayer for her is that she will be strengthened and refreshed from the inside out.

It’s hard for people to show outward change and glorify God when there’s so much deep wounding. That’s why man looks for the outward change and often is disappointed, but God looks straight into the heart and searches for the deeper things that we’re not often able to express.

My deeper prayer for her is that she be free to express! Free to hope! Free to believe! Free to separate the truth from the rubble that has surrounded her broken life. Free to know love

THE HEAVENLY REALMS ARE STIRRING! Can you feel it?My mom, Josephine! As you know, the doctors have diagnosed her with terminal cancer, and her condition is escalating. So I was touched to see what was happening with the IHOP praise report, and was planning to share that with her yesterday. So I started off about 11 a.m. calling her yesterday — all day and night and getting no return call. At first I thought she was just getting some much needed rest. And it’s been past practice that when I call her, she may not feel well, and take a day or two to respond, so normally I would have just waited a day or two before sensing a problem. But by the evening, I felt such an urgency to go over and knock on the door to see that she was okay. Well, we have keys for the knob and the deadbolt, but she had slid the safety latch over, so it couldn’t be opened by would-be intruders. So after getting no response, we called 911, who sent the fire dept that ended up busting the door open.My mom was alive, but she had fallen from her bed about 11 p.m. the previous evening, and due to increased edema in her lower extremities she’s not been able to easily walk. Well, she had forgotten her cane, and couldn’t get up, had managed to crawl into the bathroom, which is where she was when the rescue team got there.

Just a few days earlier, on Friday, I sensed a divine window beginning to open, and during my visit, was able to pray for her and send in the angelic hosts, with special attention for her safety and refreshment. I know those guardian angels are no slouches, so if she fell on the floor during their watch, I’m going with divine appointment time!

I perceive this experience as being a place of humbling and contemplation, and crying out to the Lord. After all, when you’re on the floor face down for over 17 hours, something’s got to give!

So I believe the Lord is allowing this experience for her to see His divine protection in the difficult times that are coming. Allowing her to see that He will come to her defense and cause her to be rescued beyond what she, family, or medical staff can ever hope or imagine! She likes to show how strong and tough she is — an impenetrable force that needs no one — takes life on her own terms — a survivor.

“So Father have Your way in Josephine — expose her, touch her and break her down and pursue her with Your burning compassion. Let her look into Your eyes and see Your great love for her. Visit her in the night. Continue what was started in the heart of prayer throughout the weekend. You said to ‘wait’ — ‘wait for the time’, and I did. Now You said to ‘ask’ — and so now I’m asking! Draw Josephine into Your presence, let her come to know and experience You with deep passion. HEAL HER!” That was my prayer as I left her apartment on Friday.

Please pray the Father’s heart for her.
