Yeah, as soon as I learn how to edit the html better, I’m gonna get the design back that went on this site, and I’m gonna be successful in changing the ‘pink’- it’s like soooooooooo PINK!

Well, this is my first entry! I’ve been working with my son Mike on some common visions we have to develop websites for non-profit entities. He’s a really great teacher — incredibly patient, well organized and has taken the time from his busy schedule to work with me so I can learn how to get started. So keep visiting here to see what’s new.

It’s a bit late for spring cleaning, but it’s been quite a year. I’m clearing out old stuff and making room for new. But I never want to forget some of the places I’ve been or how I felt. So it’s good to have the chance to reflect on things I thought were forgotten and trivial, but through the process of cleaning and rearranging these little ‘tidbits’ are like ‘Fragments of Past’ years waiting to be remembered.

He really needs to get his garage organized, but this is such a touchy subject. This is one of those off-limit areas that I don’t go near– except for the laundry room and freezer. Anyway, there’s a very long history and lots of great stories that surround the ‘garage’.
This is like his special place where he could get away from things and just invent, create, develop and in general get away. Through the years, his garage developed into more like this ‘black hole in space’ that could somehow contain all the things that no one knew where to put.
He was always so gracious in finding some little nook to place things. When the kids left, they left things behind, when they came back, they needed places to store things, when parents passed on — their things were passed to us, and ultimately Rich’s garage space.
So, short story long…. his garage has grown past the comfy clutter needed to create and has become this uncomfortable, disheveled shell of its former self where nothing can be located or worked on.

As far as birthday shopping goes, he seems to like the ‘Surprise Me’ method! He really puts effort and thought into selecting gifts for others, and I think he appreciates it when others take the time to do the same. He says he would like any gift that is thoughtful — it’s not the expense… it’s more the effort.
